Lake of the Woods is home to many outdoor activities. Zipple
Bay State park is just 15 minutes north on Highway 172 to
County Rd. 8 - 8-10 miles. There is an International Point of
Entry (Canada-US). Baudette's bridge to Canada is open 24
hours a day, no toll.
There is a
tax & duty free store located next to the International Bridge.
There are
numerous beautiful natural settings, historic and archaeological
sites, resources, recreational opportunities, and cultural
experiences to savor.
The scenery is
absolutely breathtaking during all four seasons. There is a
wide variety of terrain, flora, and fauna that can sustain a high
interest level.
The wilderness
area is so vast it is able to successfully accommodate both silent
and motorized sports.
